ATHENS, W.Va.- The Concord University women's soccer team faces West Liberty Thursday 12:00 p.m. in its home opener  before traveling to South Euclid, OH. facing Notre Dame 4:00 p.m.

Concord evened its record at 2-2 by defeating Salem International 3-0 Tuesday.
It was the second time in four contests to start the season that CU has netted three goals in a game.
Freshman forward
Sarah Hill and sophomore middle fielder Kierston Sutherland scored their first career goals versus SIU.
The last time Concord scored three goals in a game was October 15
th, 2015 against Wheeling Jesuit.
Of the six goals scored by CU this season, no player has more than one. Hill, Sutherland, Walsh, junior defender

Mira Kontio have combined for the six scores.
Last year CU had just five goal scorers accounting for ten goals.

Katie Maher recorded her first career shutout as she made three saves against Salem International.

Micharae Thompson supplied the only goal for Concord in the home meeting.

Joanna Aiello assisted on Thompson goal against the Hilltoppers.

Sarah Akers scored a goal against Notre Dame in 2016. Akers' goal came courtesy of a free kick—a specialty for the Beckley, West Virginia native. Â
