MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Senior pitcher Allie Reid posted her 200th career strikeout against King on Wednesday, striking out three batters in two innings of work in game two against the Tornado.

Reid joins Ashley Jackson, Tamara Smith, and Lacey McDougall as the only players in Concord history to reach the 200-strikeout mark.

Reid posted two scoreless innings against the Tornado, the 25th time in her career she has made an appearance in the circle without giving up a run.

Sophomore pitcher/outfielder Abby Beatty has already notched her fourth multi-hit game of the season through 16 games with two hits against KU. Beatty accumulated five multi-hit games in 42 appearances last season.

The four multi-hit games for Beatty rank second on the Mountain Lions

Senior shortstop Alayna Furr posted her seventh multi-hit game of the season against King.

The Lovettsville, Virginia  native now has 25 hits on the season to lead all Mountain East Conference performers.

With two hits against the Tornado in game one, Furr tied her career-high of 20 consecutive games with a hit.

Junior third baseman Alycea Watson picked up her eighth RBI in her last four games after knocking in two runs against King in game one.

Watson has driven in 11 runs so far this season, sixth in the Mountain East Conference and is on pace to pass her total of 20 RBI last season.

Watson's 11 RBI are second on the team behind senior outfielder Lauren Lewis, who has driven in 13 runs this year, fourth in the Mountain East.

Lewis moved into second place in Concord history in several categories in the last two games.

Lewis's 192 career hits, 122 runs scored, and 140 career RBI put the Kearneysville, West Virginia native into second place or tied for second in each category all-time at CU.

The Mountain Lions have never faced Indianapolis, a team that spent a portion of last season ranked #1 in the country, and is currently ranked 19th in the NFCA poll.

The matchup against the Greyhounds will mark the four team that Concord has played this season that is either ranked or is receiving votes in the latest NFCA poll.

Both Le Moyne and Kutztown garnered votes in this weeks poll, with upcoming conference foe West Virginia Wesleyan currently 13th in the rankings. Earlier this season, Concord played Lenoir-Rhyne who is slotted seventh in the NFCA poll.

The Mountain Lions have history with the next opponent West Chester, who they will face twice at the tournament.

The two teams played a closely matched contest in the first game of the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship in Buckhannon, West Virginia in 2015.

A strong day from Reid helped Concord win the opening matchup 3-1, with the Lovettsville, Virginia native throwing a complete game while allowing just four hits and one earned to help Concord earns its first ever NCAA Tournament victory.

Concord owns a 2-1 record against Post, with all three matchups coming in 2008.

Concord is 1-7 combined against California, Indiana, and Bloomsburg all-time.

Concord's only win against those three teams was an 8-2 win over Indiana on March 16, 2014.

Senior third baseman Courtney Purtell and Reid each notched RBI in that game.

The Mountain Lions will make their first trip into Florida since the 2011 season in which CU went 4-4 over eight games in Titusville, Florida.

The trip into Florida will mark the fourth different state the Mountain Lions have played in this season.
