MEC TOURNAMENT SCENARIOS
With one win this weekend AND a West Liberty loss against Urbana, Concord would secure the six seed in next week's MEC Tournament.

If the Mountain Lions go 0-2, they would become the eight seed in next week's conference tournament.

CU could also be the seven seed with a win AND a West Liberty win.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Prior to Friday's match, senior middle hitter Shea Hoffman, senior setter Casey Mandeville and senior outside hitter Felicia Huerta will be recognized.

The trio has been a part of 56 wins at Concord, the most for a senior class since 2014. As freshmen, they were also a part of the most wins amassed in a single season by head coach Kate Dillon as CU won 18 matches in 2014.

Hoffman and Mandeville each appear in the record books at Concord.

Hoffman is seventh in all-time blocks at Concord with 282 and needs 13 more to move into sixth. Additionally, the South Charleston, West Virginia native is tied for seventh in career hitting percentage at CU at .189.

Against UVa.-Wise on Tuesday, Hoffman played one of her best matches of the season with six kills, five blocks and a hitting percentage of .556.

Mandeville is vying to become just the third player in program history with 700 or more assists in multiple seasons.

Last year, Mandeville accumulated 724 assists and needs 21 more to eclipse 700 in 2017.

Overall, the Plain City, Ohio native has 2,283 assists, ranking fourth in program history.

Combined, Hoffman and Mandeville have played in 254 matches over the last four years. Hoffman ranks in a tie for 20th among career active leaders in Division II in matches played.

Huerta has played in 83 matches during her time at Concord which dates back to the fall of 2013. The Dumfries, Virginia native has 168 career kills, and has been part of four Concord teams that made the MEC Tournament.

The Mountain Lions locked up a spot in the conference postseason by virtue of a win over UVa.-Wise.

Junior middle hitter Brooke Heck paced Concord with 19 kills, a season-high, and a hitting percentage of .424.

Fellow middle hitter, sophomore Emily Ellis, accounted for 12 kills and six blocks. Junior outside hitter Alexi Pranckus went for 11 kills and seven digs including the final three CU kills in the fourth set to close things out.

Over her last five matches, Heck has 10 or more kills in four of those including two matches with 17 and a 19-kill contest against UVa.-Wise.

Sophomore setter Jenna Mounts also continued her strong play against the Cavaliers as she tallied 21 assists and 12 digs. It was the third time in four matches Mounts has had a double-double.

The Mountain Lions defeated both Charleston and West Virginia State at home last year.

CU used a balanced effort to take down WVSU in four sets. Four different Concord players had eight kills in the contest. Pranckus added 10 digs to go with eight kills.

Heck and sophomore outside hitter Ellie Lawrence each had 11 kills as the Mountain Lions swept UC at the Carter Center. Mandeville chipped in 23 assists.

WEST VIRGINIA STATE AT A GLANCE
Under first-year head coach Kris Kern, the Yellow Jackets have won eight more matches than they did a season ago.

Tabi Pontious is seventh in the MEC in assists per set with 7.95.

Allison Tumey had nine kills and eight digs in a victory for West Virginia State over Concord earlier this season.

CHARLESTON AT A GLANCE
Janeese Vervelde leads the Golden Eagles in hitting percentage (.264) and is ranked seventh in the conference.

Jour'Ney Powell is averaging just under a block per set (0.97) for Charleston, slotting her fifth in the MEC.
