RECORDS
The Mountain Lions are 2-1 on the season as they prepare for their conference opener.

Notre Dame is 1-2 this year.

The Blue Knights sport a record of 0-3 on the young season.

RAPID PRODUCTION
In just 28 minutes against Bluefield State, junor guard Tommy Bolte scored 29 minutes.

For the season, Bolte is averaging 37.3 points per game and has scored 112 points in just 108 minutes of action for the season.

Bolte continues to lead Division II in scoring, and only he and Sawyer Glick of Barry University are averaging at least one point per minute this season.

Glick scored 34 points in 31 minutes of action in his only game of the year.

NARROW DEFEAT
The Mountain Lions were unable to hold off Mercer County rival Bluefield State Wednesday night at the Carter Center as the Blues won 87-83.

Even in the loss, Concord gained its first rebounding edge of the season as it outrebounded Bluefield State 41-40.

In the 41 boards were 13 offensive rebounds by CU--the most since a road contest at the end of January during the 2016-17 season against Shepherd.

Freshman guard Darian Peterson and freshman Trey Shuff each had three offensive rebounds to lead the way for Concord.

BALANCE EFFORT
While Bolte led the way for the Mountain Lions against Bluefield State with his 29 points, seven other Concord players scored at least six points in the game.

Freshman guard Malik Johnson and Peterson each chipped in nine points.

Shuff came off the bench to provide eight points. Freshman guard Trey Radcliffe and freshman forward Jyles Webster both had seven points, and freshman forward Antonio Patterson hit two three-pointers for his six points in the contest.

It was the first eight different Concord players had six or more points since a home win over UVa.-Wise during the 2014-15 season.

POSSESSING THE BALL
A season after finishing just under minus-1 in turnover margin, Concord is tied for second in the MEC in turnover margin at 2.67.

CU has turned the ball over just 14.0 times on average to start the season while forcing the opponent into over 16 turnovers per game.

Only one CU player has double-digit turnovers through three games, Bolte.

However, Bolte has a 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio through the first three contests of the season as well.

EVEN STEVEN
The all-time series between Concord and NDC has been tight with the Mountain Lions holding a narrow 5-4 edge on the Falcons.

Last season, both contests were tight as each scored exactly 182 points.

NDC won at the Carter Center 95-87 before CU won the same score in mid-February on the road.

The last five meetings between the two schools have all been decided by 10 points or less including a two-point win for Concord two years inside Murphy Gymnasium.

ONE-SIDED AFFAIR
While Concord and Notre Dame have had some contests come down to the wire in the past, the Mountain Lions have handled Urbana.

CU holds a 7-1 series advantage over the Blue Knights.

The one victory for the Blue Knights came at the Carter Center last season when UU hit a shot with less than five seconds remaining to steal a 73-71 win from the Mountain Lions.

COMEBACK KIDS
Concord picked up a pair of wins last season in Ohio over NDC and Urbana, but had to erase halftime deficits in both instances.

Additionally, Concord had to score over 50 points in both second halves to wipe away the halftime edge that went to Notre Dame and UU.

The Mountain Lions scored 51 points at Urbana as they won 98-91 and scored 56 points to down the Falcons by eight.

For the combined second halves, Concord shot 50 percent from the floor (36-for-72).

Against UU, Bolte scored 23 points, grabbed six rebounds and handed out five assists. Two days later, the Chillicothe, Ohio native netted 26 points, pulled down nine rebounds and had six assists versus NDC.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
1&2- Points and rebounds needed by Peterson to collect a double-double against Bluefield State.

6.8- Average margin for the winner between Concord and Notre Dame the last five meetings.

8- Career high in rebounds for sophomore forward Trey Brisco against Bluefield State.

NOTRE DAME AT A GLANCE
Notre Dame has already been involved in two overtime games to start the season.

NDC lost to Millersville by eight in double overtime before outlasting St. Augustine's 99-95 in overtime.

KT Taylor is second in the MEC in scoring at 27.0 points per game.

Sharp shooter Drew Scarberry is shooting 50 percent (13-for-26) from three-point and averaging 17 points per game.

NDC's all-around scorer Will Vorhees has only played in one game this season, but is averaging 15 points per contest.

URBANA AT A GLANCE
The Blue Knights are giving up 86.7 points per game and only scoring 61 points per game.

Four-year starter Carlas Jackson is averaging 10 points per game.

Malik Jackson is the top scorer for Urbana at 16 points per game.

First-year head coach Nick Dials took over for Rob Summers during the summer, but has just five returning players to his roster.
