ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University volleyball team will complete a five-game road swing when it travels to Glenville State 6:00 p.m. Friday and West Virginia Wesleyan 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

RECORDS
The Mountain Lions are 9-17 overall and 3-6 in the MEC. The conference mark has Concord in a tie for eighth in the MEC.
WVWC is one of the teams tied with Concord. The Bobcats sport an 8-15 overall record.
Glenville State is 0-18 overall and 0-9 in the MEC.
MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
CU lost two games on the road last weekend as it fell to Shepherd and Fairmont in three sets each.
Junior middle hitter
Brooke Heck notched eight kills with a hitting percentage of .368 while sophomore middle hitter
Emily Ellis chipped in seven kills with a hitting percentage of .375.
After her performance against the Fighting Falcons, Heck's career hitting percentage stands at .322 which ranks 20
th in all of Division II among career active leaders.

The Mountain Lions have gone a combined 3-0 against Wesleyan and Glenville State this season.
Concord has defeated WVWC twice at the Carter Center, once in the Concord Classic and again during the MEC slate.
Ellis has been stellar for CU in the two matches against Wesleyan. Ellis combined for 25 kills, 14 blocks and hit over .470 in each contests. In the Concord Classic, the Oak Forest, Illinois native tallied 15 blocks, nine blocks and a hitting percentage of .536.
Heck was also been exceptional for the Mountain Lions in both matches this season. The junior has recorded 14 kills in each match.
Other notable performances have been Mandeville notching 53 assists and 14 digs over the two matches. Freshman libero
Lindsay Maddox had 25 digs in the first contest versus the Bobcats, the second highest in her early career at CU.
Sophomore setter
Jenna Mounts just missed a double-double of 17 assists and nine assists in the first victory over WVWC this season.
The Mountain Lions swept Glenville State at home September 23 behind 10 kills, eight digs and a hitting percentage of .500 from junior outside hitter
Alexi Pranckus.
Concord won both matches on the road last season over WVWC and the Pioneers.
Heck notched 11 kills in 12 attempts without an error in a sweep of Glenville State.
CU outlasted Wesleyan in five sets on the road in 2016 as the Mountain Lions won the fifth and final set 15-13. Four of the five sets were decided by two points with the other being a four-point margin.
Pranckus went for a career-high 28 digs. Sophomore outside hitter
Ellie Lawrence added 11 kills while Heck had 10.

Madison Gargus is averaging 4.84 assists per set for the Pioneers.
Bailey Brawner has 127 kills and 164 digs on the season.
WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
The Bobcats have lost four straight with the defeats coming against three of the five top teams in the league, Wheeling Jesuit, Urbana and West Liberty. Wesleyan also has a recent loss to Notre Dame.
Hannah King is seventh in the conference in kills per set, 3.16.
King is averaging 11.5 kills per match against Concord this season. Â
