MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord enters the matchup at 2-14 overall, (1-11 MEC).

Fairmont State heads into Thursday's game against Concord with a 10-8 record overall, while posting a 7-5 mark in conference play this season.

Shepherd is 8-12 overall and 5-7 in MEC games this season.

SHOOTING FROM DOWNTOWN
Concord has scored its highest two point totals in its past two games, largely due to being able to make shots from beyond the three-point line.

After Concord attempted just 20 threes in two games on its northern panhandle swing against Wheeling Jesuit and West Liberty, CU has now combined to make 21 three-point shots in its last two contests against UVa.-Wise and West Virginia State.

The Mountain Lions shot 11- for-19 from beyond the arc against West Virginia State, and made ten three-pointers against UVa.-Wise.

The 21 three-pointers for the Mountain Lions over the last two games has been a balanced effort with five different players hitting from distance.

Senior guard Alexis Lowery has drained seven while sophomore guard Emily Boothe has buried six. Junior guard Danielle Catron has hit on five including a perfect 3-for-3 at West Virginia State. Fellow junior guard Lindsey Overbey connected on a pair of three-pointers versus UVa.-Wise and junior forward Heather Chapman nailed one at WVSU.

The 57.1 percent clip against West Virginia State was Concord's highest percentage from three-point land since Concord played Urbana on the road on January 12th last season, hitting 13-of-25 shots from deep (52.0 percent).

BOOTHE'S STARTING SUCCESS
In the two games Boothe has started for Concord this year, the Mountain Lions have scored over 90 points, the first time Concord has accomplished that feat this season.

The last time Concord scored over 90 points two games in a row was during the 2010-11 season in which it scored 94 and 99 points in consecutive games against Charleston and Glenville State.

Boothe is averaging 16.5 points per game in her two games she has started, compared to 6.8 points per game in games she has come off of the bench.

In addition to this, Boothe has also shot over 50 percent from the field in her last two games, including an 8-for-12 effort against West Virginia State.

Boothe also grabbed a career-high seven rebounds against UVa.-Wise.

STEADY SCORING SURGE
Staying on the offensive side of the ball, the Mountain Lions have found their rhythm offensively, increasing their scoring average from 53 points at the start of the year to over 71 points per game at this point in the season.

While the 71 points per game ranks just sixth in the MEC, the Mountain Lions rank in the top four in both field goal percentage and three-point field goal percentage.

Concord is shooting 42.5 percent from the field, fourth in the conference. The Mountain Lions also hit 35.7 percent of their shots from deep, third in the league.

The last time Concord scored 90 points before the last two games was a matchup against Shepherd at home last season in a 90-86 win.

DOUBLE DOWN
Chapman notched her second double-double of the season against West Virginia State on Saturday, with her first double-double also coming against the Yellow Jackets earlier in the year.

Chapman posted a career-high in points and rebounds against West Virginia State. The 27-point, 11 rebound performance was the third-highest point output for a double-double in the MEC this season.

SCOUTING FAIRMONT STATE
The 10-8 Fighting Falcons are coming off of a 22-point win against West Virginia Wesleyan at home, avenging an earlier loss to the Bobcats in Buckhannon.

FSU has been tough to beat at Joe Retton Arena, posting an 8-2 record at home.

FSU is averaging 73.5 points per game at home, while averaging 63 points per game on the road.

FSU has four players who average 13 points per game or higher: Amanda Ruffner (16.3), Makenzie White (14.3), Deidra Combs (14.1), and Emily Puskarich (13.0).

White, Combs, and Ruffner also all rank in the top five in field goal percentage in the Mountain East.

SCOUTING SHEPHERD
Shepherd is coming off of a loss to Glenville State, and finds itself in a four-way tie for seventh place in the Mountain East Conference as of now with a 5-7 record in conference play.

The Rams have proven to be capable shooters from downtown, ranking second in the MEC in three-point percentage at 36.9 percent.

SU ranks one spot ahead of Concord in that category.

Prior to the loss against Glenville State, the Rams had won their last three contests, including two wins on the road at Urbana and Notre Dame.

The Rams have a 3-5 record at home, compared to a 4-6 record on the road.

Morgan Arden leads the Rams in scoring at 13.1 points per game.
