MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
Concord enters the matchups at 2-10 on the season, with a 1-7 mark in conference play.

Wheeling Jesuit currently is tied for the top spot in the Mountain East Conference, entering the game with a 12-2 record overall and a 7-1 mark in MEC play.

West Liberty is 4-10 overall, and 3-5 in Mountain East Conference games.

BENCH CONTINUES STRONG OUTPUT
After the Concord bench was outscored 30-20 by Notre Dame on January 8th, the Mountain Lion reserves responded by scoring 38 points in a narrow loss to Urbana on Tuesday night.

The 38-2 margin in bench points was Concord's largest this season, and provided over 50 percent of Concord's offense on the night, outscoring the starting unit 38-34.

Concord's bench has outscored its opposition five times this season.

CATRON OFF THE BENCH
Junior guard Danielle Catron scored a season-high 22 points off of the bench against Urbana on Tuesday.

The 22-point effort marked the first time the Marion, Virginia native has eclipsed the 20-point mark this season, and the sixth time in her career.

One of those instances came on the road against Wheeling Jesuit last season, in which she scored 22 points as well. Catron also made four three point baskets, just one short of her career-high.

Catron and senior guard Alexis Lowery were the only two players for Concord to score in double figures that day.

OVERBEY'S SECOND HALF SURGE
Junior guard Lindsey Overbey has improved her scoring over the last 20 minutes of games throughout the past few matchups.

The Gate City, Virginia native has scored in double figures five times this season already, which is just short of the seven career double digit scoring games she had entering the 2016-17 season.

Overbey scored nine of her 12 points in the second half of the game against Urbana on Tuesday night. Overbey also scored nine points of her 11 total against Notre Dame in the second half two days prior to that.

Perhaps Overbey's most important contribution in the second half came when she hit her only three-point shot of the game with six minutes left against Shepherd to help CU gain and seven-point advantage and help the Mountain Lions earn their first conference win over the Rams.

78 percent of Overbey's points in the past two games have come in the second half.

DEFEATING THE HILLTOPPERS
Concord's last win against West Liberty came in a narrow 79-78 win at the ASRC January 4, 2014.

The only current Mountain Lion to see action in that game was senior guard Olivia Morgan, who registered two assists and a rebound in eight minutes as a true freshman.

The Hilltoppers own a 26-2 advantage all-time in games between the two teams.

SCOUTING WHEELING JESUIT
Wheeling Jesuit, the champions of the MEC Tournament last year, are off to a good start once again.

The Cardinals are tied for first in the conference with UVa.-Wise with a 7-1 mark through eight games.

The Cardinals have limited their opposition to  61.5 points per game, the second-lowest in the MEC.

The Cardinals also lead the league in three-point percentage, shooting the ball nearly 40 percent from downtown.

Sophomore Monica Burns leads the Cardinals in scoring at 14.8 points per game.

Jaana Motton nearly averages a double-double at 12.6 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.

SCOUTING WEST LIBERTY
West Liberty, after starting the season at 1-7, is now 3-3 in its last six games.

The Hilltoppers graduated three all-conference players from last season in Kierra Simpson, Kailee Howe, and Liz Flowers. The Hilltoppers have won two out of their last three games, with the only loss being to third place Glenville State on the road.

In the two wins over Charleston and West Virginia Wesleyan, the Hilltoppers have won by an average margin of 21 points per game.

McKenna Shives leads WLU in scoring at 13.9 points per game, while Brandi Beader is second in scoring at 10.9 points per game while shooting over 45 percent from downtown.
