ATHENS, W.Va. - The Concord University women's basketball team will go into Thursday's matchup against Fairmont State with with a 4-14 record overall (2-10 MEC). Fairmont State heads into the matchup at 14-4 overall and sits at 8-4 in the MEC. Concord will then welcome ninth-place Shepherd to the Carter Center in the second leg of their conference matchup. The Rams are 5-13 overall and 4-8 in the MEC.   Â

Bouncing Back• After a 10-game skid, Concord earned their first victory Tuesday night since December 5th when they defeated Bluefield State 77-52, their largest margin of victory this season.Â
• The 25 point victory is their largest since they defeated Wheeling Jesuit by 28 points on February 27th, 2012.
• The win marks a season sweep of Concord against the Blues, the first time Concord has accomplished this feat since the 2011-2012 season.
• Concord will now look to win consecutive games for the first time since November when they host Fairmont State on Thursday.       Â

Stealing the Show• Concord has done a good job of forcing their opponent into turnovers this season, most notably by stealing the ball from their opposition.
• Concord's 18 steals against Bluefield State marked the 7th game with 10 or more steals this season.
• The 18 steals also marks the most steals in one game since the 2001-02 season. Junior guard
Alexis Lowery's five steals in the game mark the most since junior guard
Olivia Morgan had six on Jan. 31. 2015.

Seeing Double• Morgan recorded her first career double-double against Bluefield State, recording 12 points and 12 assists.
• The 12 assists mark the second time in her career that she has eclipsed the 10-assist mark in a game.
• The 12 points she scored were also tied for a season-high, which she accomplished on the road against upcoming foe Shepherd.
• Her double-double was also the first double-double by a Concord player other than senior forward

Finding the Bucket• Concord shot over 43 percent for the first time in their past five games.
• Concord averaged just 36.3 percent from the field for their past five games after shooting over 50 percent on the road at Notre Dame and Urbana in the two games prior.Â
• Better shooting bodes well for the Mountain Lions this season, as they have a winning record (4-3) when they post better field goal percentage than their opponents this season.

Scouting Fairmont State • Fairmont State enter Thursday's tilt in fourth place in the Mountain East Conference with a 14-4 record overall, and an 8-4 mark in the Mountain East Conference.
• Fairmont State is paced in scoring by the duo of Amanda Ruffner (16.8 ppg), and Makenzie White (15.4 ppg), who rank sixth and tenth in the MEC in scoring, respectively.Â
• Fairmont State has won three in a row, and have played top two teams West Liberty and Wheeling Jesuit to single digit losses in their first round of matchups in the Mountain East Conference.Â

Scouting Shepherd• Shepherd has struggled this season after posting a 22-10 mark last season, going just 5-13 through their first 18 games.Â
• The Rams do boast the Mountain East Conference's leading scorer in Morgan Arden, who is pouring in 19.7 points per game, including a 29-point outburst against the Mountain Lions in the two team's first matchup this season.Â
• The Rams also have the conference's fourth leading rebounder in Liz Myers, who pulls down 8.3 boards per game.Â
