MOUNTAIN LION NOTES• Concord started to find the basket early and often during their exploits in Ohio.Â
• The Mountain Lions scored 74 points in the loss to Notre Dame, and erupted for 83 points in a narrow defeat to Urbana, a season-high.Â
• The Mountain Lions were also very efficient from the floor, shooting 50 percent or better in both of those games.Â
• Concord has only eclipsed the 70-point mark in five of their 13 games this season.Â
• However, three of those instances have been in the past four games for the Mountain Lions.Â
• The Mountain Lions are only averaging 61.8 ppg at the moment, but based on recent form the trend seems to be going in a positive direction.Â
• A vital component of Concord's recent scoring surge has been their shooting from beyond the arc.Â
• Concord has combined to shoot 22-for-39 from three-point range in the past two games, a percentage of .564.
• Contributing to the hot shooting for Concord in the past two games are
Olivia Morgan (4-4),
Emily Boothe (8-11), and
Danielle Catron (9-16).Â
• Concord actually shot the ball more efficiently from the three-point line than they did from the field overall against both Notre Dame and Urbana.Â
• In fact, the last time that Concord made 10 three-pointers in a game goes all the way back to 2012 when they made 11 three-pointers against Virginia Intermont.Â
• The Mountain Lions made 13 threes against Urbana.Â
• Freshman guard
Emily Boothe had a breakout game against the Blue Knights of Urbana in her last game.Â
• While Boothe has scored in double figures five times previously this season, she has never scored more than twelve points in a game in her career.Â
• Against Urbana, Boothe led the Mountain Lions in scoring with 26 points, scoring over twice as many points as her previous career-high.
• The Riner, Virginia native shot a blistering 10-for-14 from the field and 6-for-8 from three-point territory.Â
• She managed to chip in two assists as well.Â
• The freshman has played and started in every game for the Mountain Lions this season, and her recent surge has helped the Mountain Lions become more dangerous offensively. Â
• Concord will look to go back to winning ways against the Cardinals on Saturday.Â
• Concord trails Wheeling Jesuit 18-7 in the all-time series head-to-head matchups between the two teams.Â
• Concord was narrowly defeated on the road at Wheeling last year, falling by three points to WJU after the Mountain Lions couldn't convert a chance to send the game into overtime.Â
• Junior center
Alley Odell contributed eight points in the matchup in Athens, while sophomore guard
Lindsey Overbey added seven ponts.Â
INSIDE THE NUMBERS70.3- Concord's points per game in the last four games, substantially higher than their season average of 61.8.Â
.500- 3-point percentage of Concord in it's last four games. Including a 64.3 percent effort at Notre Dame Sunday
