Box Score URBANA, Ohio- The Concord University Women's basketball team fell late on the road to the Urbana University Blue Knights on Tuesday Evening at the Warren G. Grimes Center in Mountain East Conference action.

Concord falls to 3-10 (2-6 MEC), while Urbana improves to 6-6 on the year (5-3 MEC).

Concord came out of the gate quickly, jumping out to an early 17-7 lead five minutes into the first quarter. Sophomore guard Danielle Catron had a hot start early on as well, scoring ten of the first 23 points for the Mountain Lions to help CU take a 25-18 lead after one quarter.

The two teams continued to exchange baskets, with the score in favor of Concord 40-36 at halftime. Freshman guard Emily Boothe eclipsed her career-high in points in the first half of action, netting 13 points in the first 20 minutes, including shooting 3-for-4 from three-point range. Catron also was big for the Mountain Lions in the first half, scoring 13 points herself.

The Mountain Lions surged early in the third quarter, as Catron and Boothe scored the opening seven points for the Mountain Lions to open up the half. However, Urbana responded after going down 62-52 to bring the score back to 63-61 to end the third period.

Concord started off the fourth quarter well after Catron nailed another three-pointer to give Concord an early 3-point lead after two free throws by the Blue Knights.

But, Urbana stormed back to score nine consecutive points. Urbana then began to slowly try to distance themselves from the Mountain Lions, who trailed by seven with a little under three minutes left 82-75.  Catron then hit a three to cut the Urbana lead to four.

Sophomore guard Marta Moix then hit a jumper to get Concord to within two points. A three-pointer on the next possession helped to restore Urbana's lead to five with two minutes remaining.  A late three by Boothe helped Concord to remain within striking distance, but Urbana made several stops late to have CU's comeback bid fall just short.

Boothe finished with a career-high 26 points, including shooting 10-for-14 from the field and 6-for-8 from beyond the three-point line.  Catron also continued her recent run of scoring by adding 24 points. Olivia Morgan was two assists shy of a double-double with 11 points and eight assists. Kylie Molisee and Alexis Lowery each contributed six points.

Concord will return home to take on second-place Wheeling Jesuit on Saturday, January 16.  Tipoff is at 2:00 p.m.
