Live Video (Tiffin Only)ATHENS, W.Va. - The Concord University Women's Soccer Team seeks to start it's season off on the right foot when they travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to face Converse College 6:00 p.m. Thursday before facing Tiffin in its home opener 12:00 p.m. Saturday.

RECORDS• Concord finished last season with record of 5-8-4
• Converse was 15-3-1 in 2014 as they advanced to the league semifinals in the Conference Carolinas Tournament.
ALL-TIME SERIES• The Mountain Lions are 0-1-0 all-time against both Converse and Tiffin.
• CU lost a 3-2 overtime decision to the Valkyries in 2013 while Concord and Tiffin have not met since the 2005 season.
SCOUTING CONCORD• Senior Forward
Kari Simon enters the season ranked sixth all-time on Concord's scoring chart with 25 goals.Â
• Concord returns 75 percent of its scoring from last season including Simon (nine goals) senior
Chloe Barber (four goals), and junior
Emily Cole (four goals).Â
• Concord returns four players who logged over 1,000 minutes last season, including Simon (1,425), Cole (1,334), junior
Kiana Brown (1,218), and junior
Olivia Reilly (1,113).Â
• Concord is 12-7-1 in nonconference play since 2011.Â
• Concord registered four clean sheets last season, and totaled nine games where they allowed one goal or fewer.Â
• Sophomore goalkeeper
Lacie Geisel played the full game in three of Concord's four shutouts. Â
• Concord's 8-0 win over Salem International last season was the largest margin of victory for Concord since 2010 when they defeated Salem International 9-0.   Â
• Barber scored four goals on just seven shots on goal last season.Â
• Concord returns eight players who either scored or had an assist last season.Â
SCOUTING CONVERSE• Converse was selected to finish in a tie for second in its league preseason coaches poll.
• Thursday's contest will be the season opener for both clubs.
SCOUTING TIFFIN• The Dragons were led by Svetlana Gudenkova who scored four goals and had two assists in just eight games a season ago.
• Tiffin will face the University of Charleston Thursday before traveling to CU Saturday.
