ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University baseball team will begin a 17-game home stand, Wednesday, and will run until April 19.
UPCOMING SCHEDULEConcord will play a nine-inning game at Hunnicutt Field in Princeton, West Virginia 6:00 p.m. Wednesday versus Bluefield State before hosting Charleston in a four-game Mountain East Conference series beginning 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Anderson Field.

RECORDS• Concord has won six of its last seven games and enters play this week with a record of 14-9 overall and 13-7 in the Mountain East Conference.
• Bluefield State is 7-14 overall, but won its last three games over Lincoln University.
• Charleston has compiled a record of 7-13 overall and is 6-12 against league foes.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES• Concord completed a four-game sweep of Glenville State, outscoring Pioneers 23-6 as sophomore pitcher
Zach Kelly tossed his first career complete game in a 3-0 win over Glenville State in game of the series.

Damon Frazier combined to blank GSC in the series finale, 6-0.
• Werner has given up two runs or less in four of his five starts this season and has a team-best ERA of 2.61.

Andy Szamski led the charge for the Mountain Lions offense as he went 5-for-14 at the plate with four of his hits going for extra bases, two home runs and two doubles.
• The Glen Arm, Maryland native leads CU with 26 RBI this season will carry a streak of 13 consecutive games with at least one RBI into Wednesday's matchup with BSC.
• Additionally, Szamski's RBI count is second best in the conference behind Shepherd's Spencer Wolfe with 29, and his three triples are a league-high.

Paul Williams will carry a hitting streak of nine games into Wednesday.
• Not only has Williams' bat been hot of late, but he and junior catcher
Charles Goss have limited the opposition to just 16 stolen base attempts while committing just two errors between them for a combined fielding percentage of .982 from the catcher's spot.

Jerrod Groves will tie Josh Wenger for eighth all-time on the career Concord career hits list.
• Meanwhile, senior first baseman
Ryan Johnston is three hits shy of tying Wenger. Groves and Johnston has 209 and 207 career hits, respectively.
• The duo is also tied for eighth all-time on the career runs scored list and are bearing down on Joe Besl for seventh on the Concord list as they both have 158 while Besl has 160.
• After stealing four bases against the Pioneers, junior outfielder
Andrew Seigel tied Keith Morrisroe for second on the all-time stolen base list with 61.
• This season, the Ashburn, Virginia native has only been caught stealing twice in his 14 attempts, and leads the MEC in steals with 12.
• Even though he didn't pitch a shutout at Glenville State, junior
Chris Kelly earned his 16
th career victory to move to 16-4 in his career.
• Kelly can tie Allen Schurdell for sixth on the Concord career list with a victory in his next start.
• In three of his last four starts, Concord's number one pitcher has given up two or less earned runs as Kelly has seen his ERA plummet from 7.45 to 4.76.
SCOUTING BLUEFIELD STATE• Bluefield State's
Brandon Tucker has recorded a mark of 2-3 with an ERA of 4.03 while logging 29 innings.
• Sam Harris the top hitter for the Big Blues with a batting average of .310 and eight RBI.
SCOUTING CHARLESTON• Robert Cullin has a team-high batting average of .385 which is also eight highest in the MEC.
• Anthony Brunetti is the top run producer for the Golden Eagles with one home run and 13 RBI this season.
• Patrick Chiaramonte has gone 2-2 this season with an ERA of 3.18 in four starts for Charleston.
