ATHENS, W.Va. - The Concord University women's basketball team will host Davis & Elkins in a non-conferenc tilt 5:30 p.m. Wednesday before a pivotal Mountain East Conference contest 2:00 p.m. Saturday at UVa.-Wise.

RECORDS
• CU is 7-19 overall and 7-14 in the MEC, placing them ninth in the conference.

• Davis & Elkins is 11-13 overall in 2014-15.

• UVa.-Wise has a record of 9-18 overall and 8-13 in conference play, placing them eighth.

THE COACHES
• Concord's Kenny Osborne is 207-216 in 15 seasons at the helm of the Mountain Lions.

•Jason Asbell has guided the Senators to a 79-113 record in seven seaons at Davis & Elkins.

• UVa.-Wise's Kristin Kunzman is 34-68 in three seasons.

MOUNTAIN LION NOTES
• By winning on the road at UVa.-Wise Saturday, the Mountain Lions and the Cavaliers would finish tied in the the MEC standings with CU holding the tiebreaker by virtue of sweeping the Cavaliers in two regular season meetings.

• Prior to Wednesday's contest against D&E, Concord will recognize senior forwards Rachel Artrip and Jacqueline Kestner along with senior guard Melea Smith.

• Artrip and Kestner have been two of the most accomplished players in recent school history.

• Artrip will leave as one of the best three-pointer shooters at Concord.

• The Swords Creek, Virginia native is inside the top ten at Concord in made three-pointers (seventh / 123), attempted three-pointers (fourth / 404) and three-point percentage(tenth / 30.8).

• Additionally, Artrip has scored 922 points in her CU career and has blocked 55 shots, fifth all-time in Mountain Lion history.

• Kestner has been one of CU's best lockdown defenders over the course of her career.

• The Blountville, Tennessee native ranks eighth in school history in rebounds (622) and ninth in steals (133).

• Earlier this season, Kestner had a streak of nine games with at least two steals, and has multiple steals in 15 contests this season.

• As freshmen, Artrip and Kestner were apart of a team that won a school-record 23 games and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament.

• Meanwhile, Smith came to CU after two years at Columbus State Community College in Ohio.

• In two seasons, Smith has made 50 three-pointers while averaging 7.5 points per game (ppg)

• This season, the Lancaster, Ohio native is averaging 10.9 ppg this  season, fourth on the team.

• The Mountain Lions took down Davis & Elkins 82-70 on the road last season.

• Kestner (17) and Artrip (10) were two of five Concord players to finish in double figures for the Mountain Lions.

• On Jan. 22, Concord stymied UVa.-Wise as it allowed a season-low 40 points to UVa.-Wise in a 57-40 CU victory.

• Junior forward Kylie Molisee scored a game-high 15 points and also grabbed nine rebounds in the win while Artrip notched her first double-double of the season with 12 points and a career-high 14 rebounds.

• Concord held the Cavaliers to 25 percent shooting (14-for-56).

• In the 17-point win over UVa.-Wise, Concord assisted on 17 of 25 made field goals with Artrip handing out four assists.

• Freshman guard Danielle Catron, Kestner and sophomore guard Olivia Morgan each had three assists as well.

• Davis & Elkins comes to the Carter Center with a mark of 11-13 overall, and seeking to snap a five-game losing streak.

• During the losing streak the Senators have been getting beat by an average of 16.4 points per game.

•Sharmaine Baker leads D&E in points per game (19.3), rebounds per game (6.8), field goal percentage (.514 / 148-for-288) and free-throw percentage (.743 / 162-for-218).

• UVa.-Wise has lost three consecutive games after falling in games to Charleston, Fairmont State and Shepherd.

• The Cavaliers' Blair Harding is sixth in the MEC in scoring (16.7 ppg), second in three-pointers made (73) and sixth in three-point percentage (.348 73 / 210).

• Concord owns series advantages over both Davis & Elkins and UVa.-Wise with a 14-8 edge on D&E and winning four of five all-meetings with the Cavaliers.

A CONCORD WIN WOULD...
• A Concord win over Davis & Elkins would be the first non-conference win of the season for the Mountain Lions.

• A Concord win over Davis & Elkins would give CU a win on Senior Night for Artrip, Kestner and Smith.

• A Concord win over UVa.-Wise would give the Mountain Lions a first-round home MEC tournament game March 3 at the Carter Center.
