FAIRMONT,W. Va. – The Concord University women's basketball team dropped a 57-45 decision to Fayetteville State at the MEC-CIAA Challenge at Joe Retton Arena.
Senior forward
Jacqueline Kestner notched her second straight double-double by scoring 14 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
Down 30-18 at halftime, Concord opened the second half on an 11-2 run with junior forward

Melea Smith buried a three-point field and Kestner scored four points.
However, FSU responded with a 9-0 run of its own to open back up a 41-29 lead with 8:07 left in the game. Concord would get as close as 45-36 before falling by the 12-point margin, 57-45.
Sophomore guard
Olivia Morgan finished with nine points and four assists while Molisee netted eight points and grabbed seven rebounds.
The Mountain Lions shot better from the field than Fayetteville State (35.3-28.1) and held a slim edge on the boards (45-44).
Concord will jump into Mountain East Conference play Saturday, November 22 at Notre Dame with a 2:00 p.m. tip.
