Hammonds broke the school record in the heptathlon over the weekend at the Bast-Cregger Invite hosted by Roanoke College. Hammonds scored 2,618 points which was 106 points better than the record set last year by Nadiyah Abdussalaam. Hammonds is ranked seventh in the Mountain East Conference in the event. Hammonds scored 771 of her points in the 60-meter hurdles and posted 578 points in the long jump.
