Fitzwater was selected as a CoSIDA Academic All-American after carrying a GPA of 3.68 and finishing as an honors gradute at the conclusion of the spring semeste. On the court, Fitzwater averaged 20.6 points and 12.2 rebounds per contest while leading Division II in field-goal percentage (68.0) and blocks per game (4.5).
