Thompson had a solid showing at the Concord Invite Friday evening. The Clifton Forge, Virginia native won the long jump with a mark of 5.03 meters. She cleared a career-best 1.47 meters in the high jump as she finished third and moved up to ninth in the Mountain East Conference in the process. Thompson and the 4x100-meter relay team finished second in a season-best time of 53.09 seconds.
