Jeff Fertig met the NCAA provisional qualifying standard in the high jump at the Virginia Tech Challenge last week. Fertig cleared 2.06 meters to finish third in the high jump. The mark, which was 0.04 meters above the NCAA provisional standard, ties Fertig for 15th in the nation and was just 0.01 meters off of his current Concord record jump of 2.07 meters.
