Zay Williams begins his first season at Concord on head coach Dave Walker's staff during the spring of 2021.

The first-year head coach will be in charge of safeties at CU. 

Williams comes to Concord after finishing his playing days at North Carolina Wesleyan in the fall of 2019. During the final two years of his playing career for the Battling Bishops, the native of Mount Holly, N.C. racked up 120 tackles and 18 tackles for loss from his linebacker spot. 

Williams started his playing career at Livingstone before transferring to North Carolina Wesleyan in Rocky Mount. Williams graduated with his bachelor's degree in business and sports administration.
