NEW ORLEANS – The Concord University men's cross country team has been voted seventh in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association Preseason Atlantic Region Poll, the organization released Tuesday afternoon.
CU is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Mountain East Conference Championship last fall while finishing eighth at the Atlantic Regional Championship.
The preseason poll was as follows, Charleston, Shippensburg, Fayetteville State, Davis & Elkins, East Stroudsburg, West Chester, Concord, Point Park, Kutztown and Glenville State.
The season starts Friday at the Hokie Invite on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.
