FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The Concord University men's golf team has been voted eighth in the Mountain East Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll that has been released.

2025-26 REVIEW
The Mountain Lions finished in their 2026-27 predicted spot at last year's MEC Championship that was contested at the Resort at Glade Springs. The best team finish for CU came in the final event of the spring season when it won the Battle for Draper at Draper Valley Golf Club in Draper, Virginia. Individually, sophomore
Jackson Williams earned All-MEC Honorable Mention during his freshman season.
2026-27 SCHEDULE
The fall season starts September 3-4 at the Cal Vulcan Invite at the Cedarbrook Golf Club in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. The following week sees Concord compete at the University of Charleston Invite at Berry Hills Country Club September 9-10. The Bluefield State Intercollegiate is slated for September 28-29 at Fincastle Country Club which will be the final tune-up for the Mountain Lions before the MEC Championship October 4-6 at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia. The final fall tournament is the West Virginia Wesleyan Invite at Clarksburg Country Club October 21-22.
THE RETURNERS
Williams highlights a strong returning core for head coach
John Ross who begins his first full season at Concord after taking over the program in March. Williams averaged 79.5 per round in 2025-26. Fellow sophomore
Henry Lewis was right in step with Williams as he shot an average of 78.2, including five straight rounds under 80 to end his freshman season. Junior
Jonah Willson is the most experienced CU golfer as he has competed in 40 rounds over his career. Last year, Willson averaged 81.3. Sophomore
Dylan Canterbury transferred in for the spring season, and averaged 81.7 across 10 rounds.
