ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University head men's and women's cross country and track & field coach
Jonathan Kigel has announced the schedule for the cross country programs this fall.
This year's schedule features six meets—four regular-season meets and two postseason races.
The racing begins on September 4 when the Mountain Lions travel to nearby Blacksburg, Virginia for the Virginia Tech Invite. After a two-week break, Concord will be back at the Southern Showcase for a second straight year on September 18 in Huntsville, Alabama.
On October 2, CU competes against another loaded field when it travels to the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The regular season meets wrap up October 16 with the Concord Alumni Invite at Pipestem State Park as part of Homecoming Weekend at Concord.
The Mountain East Conference Championship will be contested November 7 at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia. And for the first time since 2010, the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship moves away from Pennsylvania. This year's Atlantic Regional Championship is at the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville, North Carolina November 21.
