ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University football team has announced the kickoff times for all 11 games during the 2026 season.
The Mountain Lions will play six home games this fall, including the first Thursday night home game since the 2018 season, and five contests away from Callaghan Stadium.
First the away game times are set as followed: at Davidson (August 27, 7:00 p.m.), at West Liberty (September 26 1:00 p.m.), at West Virginia State (October 10, 1:00 p.m.), at West Virginia Wesleyan (October 24, 1:00 p.m.), at Fairmont State (November 7, 1:00 p.m.).
The first home game of the season is a matchup with Mercer County rival Bluefield State that will kick off at 2:00 p.m. on September 5. Fans will only have to wait 12 days to catch the Mountain Lions at Callaghan Stadium once again as Charleston visits Athens for a 7:00 p.m. start time on Thursday, September 17.
The first 1:00 p.m. start of the season comes October 3 when defending MEC Champion Frostburg State comes to town.
Homecoming will be against Glenville State this season as the October 17 game will get underway at 2:00 p.m.
And the final two home games of the season, October 31 against Wheeling and November 14 versus Ferrum, will kick off at 1:00 p.m. from Callaghan Stadium.
Concord is coming off a 4-7 season in 2025, the program's second-highest win total since the 2015 season. Head coach
Cody Edwards begins his second season in charge of the program this fall.
Home game promotions will be announced later in the summer.
