Emptying the Notebook: 2025-26 Men's Basketball

ATHENS, W.Va. – With the 2025-26 school year officially wrapped up, the Concord University Sports Information Department will provide a rewind to some of the numbers and notes that were pertinent to the success of the Mountain Lions.

Each athletic program at Concord will have their own spotlights in this Emptying the Notebook series. The numbers and notes that may or may not have been used in previews and recaps throughout the season.

Men's basketball gets its turn this week.

Emptying the Notebook on Men's Basketball
2.06- Khamani Wertz finished the year fourth in the Mountain East Conference with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.06. He had 74 assists compared to 36 turnovers.

12- By scoring 39 points on the road at Wheeling in January, Micah Young became the 12th Concord player since 2015 to net at least 30 points in a game. He added a 35-point game later in the season versus Glenville State.

26- Career-high points scored by Savier McCall in an overtime win at Salem as he added a double-double with 14 rebounds. McCall had only scored 43 points in the first 19 games of the year, prior to his Salem outburst.

+37- When Boubacar Djigo was on the floor in Concord's MEC Tournament Quarterfinal win over Wheeling, CU outscored the Cardinals by 37 points. It was the highest +/- for any Mountain Lion in a game this past season.

75- With 24 blocks in the first 14 games of the year before a season-ending injury, Kraig Gilbert climbed into the top 10 at Concord in career blocks with 75—good enough for a tie for eighth.

152- Career wins by former head coach Todd May which ranks third in program history. May left in April as he accepted a job as an assistant coach at Division I Akron.

253- Three-pointers made by Concord which was the most since the 2021-22 squad connected on 301 three-pointers.

373- Djigo became the second player in program history to collect 350 or more rebounds for a season. Djigo finished the year third in Division II, averaging 13.3 rebounds per game.
