Emptying the Notebook: 2025 Football

ATHENS, W.Va. – With the 2025-26 school year officially wrapped up, the Concord University Sports Information Department will provide a rewind to some of the numbers and notes that were pertinent to the success of the Mountain Lions.

Each athletic program at Concord will have their own spotlights in this Emptying the Notebook series. The numbers and notes that may or may not have been used in previews and recaps throughout the season.

Concord football is next up for emptying the notebook.

Emptying the Notebook on Football
2- Rashad Luckey-Dowdy had two 100-yard rushing games in 2025 with 100 yards against West Virginia Wesleyan and 153 yards in the final game at Ferrum. It was the only 100-yard rushing games for a CU running back.

3- The Mountain Lion defense and special teams combined for three touchdowns—pick sixes by Corey Radcliff and Nehemiah Scott, and a blocked punt for a touchdown by Ar'Terrian Godfrey. It was the most non-offensive touchdowns for CU since the 2018 season.

5- Interceptions by Radcliff—the most in a single season for a CU player since Akil Bordelon had six in 2016.

19- Combined tackles for loss by Xavier Ellison (eight) and Scott (11) which were tied for second among teammates in the Mountain East Conference.

20- Punts landed inside the 20-yard line by Zach Moyer which was tops in the MEC. The next closest was 12.

26- Tyler Mizzell threw for 26 touchdown passes which was just the fifth instances in program history of a quarterback throwing 25 or more touchdowns in a single season.

95- Mizzell's 95-yard passing touchdown to Damani Burrell against West Virginia State on October 11 was the longest play from scrimmage in program history.

115.8- At the time of his injury—five games into the season—Dom Collins was averaging 115.8 yards per game which was among the leaders in Division II.
