Holt Becomes First Women's Wrestling Signee

ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University head wrestling coach Bill Edwards has announced the signing of Claire Holt as the program's first recruit.

High School: Princeton
Weight Class: 235 lbs

Holt has some accolades to her name as the first Wrestling State Champion in Princeton High School history. During her senior season, Holt posted a stellar 22-1 record.

"Claire is the epitome of what we are looking for in a student-athlete. She has top notch academics in addition to being a championship-caliber wrestler. She exhibits servant leadership, volunteering this past year for her alma mater" said Edwards. 

"She produced a blood-round state qualifier. We are very excited to announce her as the founding member of the Concord University Women's Wrestling program."
