ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University baseball team lost 11-2 to Kutztown Sunday afternoon in the final game of a three-game non-conference series at Anderson Field.
Each team scored in the first inning as KU (3-3) got a run on sacrifice fly and Concord's run came on bases-loaded passed ball, allowing junior infielder
Nick DiSanti to score.
The Mountain Lions (5-8) and Golden Bears remained tied until Kutztown scored a pair of runs in the third and plated two more runs in the fourth inning.
CU had its chance to tie or take the lead in the third inning as it put runners on first and second with two outs, but could not cash in.
Kutztown scored six times in the sixth inning to open up an 11-1 advantage. Junior infielder

Alex Rodriguez for Concord's only other run in the eighth inning.
DiSanti and senior outfielder
Korbin Bostic each had two hits in the contest. Senior infielder
Matthew DiSanti added a double.
Freshman pitcher
Jonah Adams (0-3) allowed four earned runs on five hits in five innings of work.
Concord travels to nationally-ranked Millersville for the start of a three-game series 12:00 p.m. Saturday.
