OPENING TIP
The Concord University women's basketball continues road trip with final non-conference game at Salem, Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Mountain Lions dropped their second straight game in a tough road contest against Frostburg State. Concord fell 69-80 and had trouble getting things going offensively. Sophomore guard Kenyah Stubbs posted another good outing with 22 points and five assists. Senior forward Abbie Smith finished just shy of a 20-20 game with 19 points and 18 rebounds. Senior forward Olivia Ziolkowski and junior guard Alexis Frazee each notched 10 points to round out those in double figures. As a unit, CU shot 39.7 percent from the field and just 21.4 percent from beyond the arc on 28 attempts. After a defensive battle in the first outing between the Bobcats and the Mountain Lions, CU struggled to contain FSU's offensive this go around.

FOCAL POINT
Smith has been a perennial force in the Mountain East Conference throughout her career in the Maroon and Gray. She has attempted 12 or more field goals in 11 games this season and Concord holds a 7-4 record in those games. Concord has played in 12 conference games this season, Smith has scored in double figures in every single one, dating back to December 3 against West Virginia State. These performances include four 20-point performances and seven double-doubles. Amongst the MEC, she ranks third in scoring (17.8), first in rebounding (10.7), second in field goal percentage (55.4), second in free throw percentage (84.9), and tied for fifth in blocks (1.1). In Saturday's game against Frostburg State, Smith became just the fourth player in Concord history to surpass 1,000 career rebounds.

DIME DROPPER
Stubbs has gotten better and better as the season has gone on with her playmaking ability. Over the last four games, she has recorded five or more assists in each outing. This includes a career high 11 assists in the narrow defeat against Glenville State. Concord posts a 5-3 record when Stubbs has five or more assists on the season and the Mountain Lions average 81.1 points per game across those eight contests. The Hanford, California native is tied for seventh in the MEC in assists per game with 3.6. Her 11 assists against Glenville State are tied for the most in an MEC game this season.

IT STARTS ON DEFENSE
CU enters Wednesday's matchup against Salem with a two-game losing streak. The Mountain Lions will look to get back to their defensive form they showed across their four-game winning streak. Over that stretch, Concord was allowing just 66.5 points per game. In contrast, they have allowed 91 points against Glenville State and 80 points against Frostburg State in their last two outings. A key figure to watch for Concord's defense is 80 points. All 12 of Concord's wins have come when they hold opponents to under 80 points. On the season, Concord ranks third in opponent field goal percentage (40.2) and fourth in opponent three-point field goal percentage (29.0). Individually, senior forward Olivia Ziolkowski is tied for second in the MEC with 1.3 blocks per game. Stubbs is tied for 10th in the conference, averaging 1.8 steals per game.
