Complete NCBWA Preseason Team
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Senior catcher
Kaden Swaim of the Concord University baseball team has picked up another preseason honor as he was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA) All-Atlantic Region Preseason First Team.
After a season that saw Swaim bat .349 with 13 home runs and 49 RBI, the Winston-Salem, North Carolina native was named a consensus All-Atlantic Region First Team, including a nod to the NCBWA Team.
Earlier in the week, Swaim was selected to the D2Baseball.com Preseason All-American First Team.
Last spring, Swaim had 17 multi-hit games and 15 multi-RBI games, including three games with five or more RBI.
The Mountain Lions open up the season 2:00 p.m. Friday with a doubleheader at Francis Marion.
