NEW ORLEANS – The Concord University men's cross country team remains ranked in the top five of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) Atlantic Regional Poll that was released Tuesday afternoon.
Concord did drop a spot from fourth to fifth, even though the Mountain Lions did not compete this past weekend. Charleston, Shippensburg and Davis & Elkins remained in order in the top three. East Stroudsburg was the biggest mover, rising three spots to claim fourth. Concord rounded out the top five.
Kutztown and West Chester were sixth and seventh in this week's rankings with Fayetteville State new to the rankings at eighth. Slippery Rock and West Liberty completed the poll.
Once again, CU will be off from action this weekend with the next race slated for October 4 at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.
