ELKINS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team's game at Davis & Elkins ended in a 0-0 draw Sunday night in a Mountain East Conference game at Nuttall Field.
After being outshot 6-3 in the first half, CU (2-2-1, 2-0-1 MEC) turned up the heat in the second half as it outshot the Senators (0-3-2, 0-2-1 MEC) 16-1 after halftime, but were unable to break through.
The best scoring chances for Concord came in the final 15 minutes as it took four shots over an eight-minute span between the 79

th minutes, and recorded three corner kicks during the same time frame.
Junior defender
Lotte Fasen nearly broke the ice in the 74
th minute as she fired a shot from 30 yards after a corner kick was cleared, but the rising shot just went high of the goal.

Caitlin Webster both had three shots in the game. Both shots for freshman midfielder
Daisy Cook were on target.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Maddie Loughborough was called on to make four saves, all in the first half, to record her second straight shutout.
The Mountain Lions recorded 11 corner kicks in the game with seven coming in the second half.
CU owned a 19-9 shots advantage in the contest.
Concord continues on the road when it faces Charleston 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
