KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Concord University men's soccer team has earned its first national ranking of the season as CU appears tenth in the United Soccer Coaches' Top 25 National Poll that was released Tuesday afternoon.
The top 10 consisted of defending national champion Lynn in the top spot followed by Cal State Stanislaus, Colorado State-Pueblo, Anderson, Cal State LA, Southern New Hampshire, Nova Southeastern, Indianapolis, Fort Lewis and Concord.
The Mountain Lions were the top team in the Atlantic Region in the poll with East Stroudsburg checking at number 18 while Bloomsburg was slotted 24
th.
Concord is just one of four teams in Division I that have started the season 4-0-0, along with Cal State Stanislaus, Lynn and Menlo, who was ranked 19
th.
CU welcomes Charleston to Callaghan Stadium for a rematch of last year's MEC Championship as well as a meeting in the NCAA Tournament's Second Round in 2024. UC is receiving votes in this week's poll at 2-0-2 on the year.
