Concord Finishes Ninth in MEC Commissioner's Cup

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Concord Athletics has finished ninth in the 2024-25 Mountain East Conference Commissioner's Cup.

CU earned an all-sports rating of 0.487. The Mountain Lions were less than 0.3 away from sixth-place Point Park University. The All-Sports Rating is the total number of points that an institution compiles divided by the number of sports offered. Points are awarded based on the number of institutions that sponsor a sport. First place receives the number of points equal to the number of teams, last place receives one point.

Charleston won the MEC Commissioner's Cup for the eighth consecutive year with a rating of 0.954.

Team highlights for Mountain Lion Athletics over the last year include men's soccer finishing second in the regular season standings before playing for the MEC Championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Men's cross country finished third at the MEC Championship in October. On the hardwood, men's basketball finished fourth in the regular-season standings. On the women's side, volleyball advanced to the MEC Tournament Semifinals after a fifth-place finish in the standings. And women's golf was fourth at the MEC Championship in the fall.
