Demetri Jamison have earned College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District Honors, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
DiSanti, a native of Wilmington, North Carolina, concluded his first season in the Maroon and Gray by hitting .359 with four home runs and 40 RBI as well as seven doubles. Concord's everyday shortstop for majority of the season stole 13 bases in 13 attempts and fielded .976. DiSanti finished the season with a .902 OPS, and hit safely in 37 of 52 games. DiSanti was All-Mountain East Conference Honorable Mention. In the classroom, DiSanti carries a 3.82 GPA as a health science major.
Jamison finished up his final year at Concord with a .241 average. He collected 15 extra-base hits (seven doubles, two triples and six home runs). Jamison drove in 27 runs and had an on-base percentage of .412 which aided an .853 OPS. Jamison's final collegiate at-bat resulted in one of his six home runs of the season. The Mechanicsville, Maryland native was the MEC Player of the Week after a pair of home runs at West Virginia Wesleyan in mid-April. Jamison graduated with a degree in health science, sporting a 3.67 GPA in his collegiate career.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must have played in 90 percent of team games or started 66 percent. Pitchers must have thrown at least 35 innings.
Academically, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and be of at least sophomore standing.
