Complete All-Region Teams

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior catcher Kaden Swaim of the Concord University baseball team is a consensus All-Atlantic Region selection after being voted to the All-Atlantic Region First Team by the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA), the organization released Wednesday morning.

Swaim, a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, makes it five straight seasons that CU has had a consensus first team all-region player—Zack Saryeldin was last year's consensus All-Atlantic Region player for the Mountain Lions.

Splitting time behind the plate and at the designated hitter spot, Swaim hit .349 with 13 home runs and 49 RBI. He also notched 12 doubles to finish with a team-best 25 extra-base hits. His on-base plus slugging percentage of 1.136 was top 10 within the Atlantic Region as were his 13 home runs.

Swaim had 15 multi-RBI games, including a two-home run, five-RBI game at Salem March 23. And a week later, Swaim belted two more home runs and collected six RBI in a win over Wheeling (March 29). Swaim was the only CU player with multiple two-homer games as he added a pair of long balls at Emory & Henry (April 15).

Four Mountain East Conference players made the ABCA All-Atlantic Region First Team: Swaim, Patrick Bauer (pitcher) and Mikey Guy (third baseball) of Frostburg State and Point Park's Jared Campbell (outfield).

Mansfield's Jacob Houtz was voted as the ABCA Atlantic Region Player of the Year. Ian Korn of Seton Hill was tabbed as the ABCA Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Year.
