Concord Finishess 11th at The Greenbrier Intercollegiate

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's golf team placed 11th at the Southern Virginia Invite on The Meadows Course at The Greenbrier Monday and Tuesday.
Concord had team scores of 391 and 393.

Senior Mary Denny finished with rounds of 80 and 88 as her total of 168 was 18th in the field. Denny's 80 is her second lowest score of the year as well as the lowest round of the spring season in five rounds.

Freshman Sara Matos Tamargo was next in the scoring for CU as she carded totals of 95 and 99 for a score of 194. Senior Anna Fry bounced back from a 105 Monday with a 97 during the second round. And freshman Alexandria Denny had scores of 111 and 109.

Division III Piedmont won the team event with a total of 616. The individual winner was Southern Virginia's Sydney Richards with a score of 142. 

The Mountain Lions wrap up the spring season at the Mountain East Conference Spring Classic April 14-15 at Edgewood Country Club in Charleston, West Virginia.
