STRONG PLATE PERFORMANCES
The Mountain Lions' offense was active Sunday and Monday, scoring 31 runs across four games to post a 3-1 record. Despite scoring 7.8 runs per game over the weekend, only two players logged hits in all four games: junior outfielder
Alina Giles and senior infielder
Courtney Raines. Giles went 3-for-3 in game one against Fairmont State that included a solo home run and followed up with a two-RBI double in a 1-for-3 game two performance. She capped off the trip with a 2-for-4 game one at Frostburg State and drove home another run in game two. Raines did not have any multi-hit outings, but secured a base knock in all four games as she has reached base safely in nine of her last 10 games. Other notable appearances at the dish include junior catcher/utility
Morgan Gleason tallying five hits in two games against the Bobcats and senior first baseman/utility
Kassidy Garvey's grand slam in game one against the Fighting Falcons.

HEATING UP HOLLIS
While she picked up a pair of doubles and three RBI at the dish, junior pitcher/infielder
Madison Hollis earned a pair of wins and a save in the circle. The McMinnville, Tenn. native lowered her ERA on the season after pitching 15.0 innings and only surrendering five earned runs (2.77 ERA). Hollis won the first game against both Fairmont State and Frostburg State, tossing all seven innings in both outings to improve to 7-4. Then, she locked down the eighth inning in game two against the Bobcats with a pair of strikeouts to log her first career save. This spring, Hollis has a team-best 3.77 ERA with a 1.59 WHIP and has thrown seven complete games.

NEW AND FAMILIAR FACES
On Friday, Concord and Point Park will meet on the diamond for the first time in an MEC cross-divisional showdown. Additionally, Saturday will mark the third-straight year that CU and Salem get together in the non-conference slate. The last six meetings between the Mountain Lions and Tigers have all been played in Athens with Concord winning five out of those six matchups. In game two against SU in 2024, Hollis was 2-for-2 and crushed a three-run home run in the first inning to grab a 6-0 win. The Maroon and Gray own a 19-11 advantage in the all-time series record over Salem and since 2008 have won 10 out of 12 games.
