ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University softball team hits the road for a pair of Mountain East Conference doubleheaders against Fairmont State Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and Frostburg State Monday at 12:00 p.m.

ON THE RISE
Despite falling in Wednesday's matchups with Glenville State, junior infielder Lacie Lewis kept her hot streak at the plate going with a solo home run to lead off game two against the Pioneers. Lewis ranks second in the MEC in home runs hit (10) this season and is tied for second in runs batted in (35). Senior first baseman/outfielder Kassidy Garvey and junior catcher/utility Gianna Sloan-Lebron also added RBI base hits in game two. Garvey has as least one base hit in nine out of her last 10 games played and is batting .439 while Sloan-Lebron raised her batting average to .305 with a .400 on base percentage this spring.  
 
GOING, GOING, GONE
While Lewis has hit 10 home runs in 37 games, Frostburg State leads the MEC in total home runs this season with 33 long balls as a team. FSU junior outfielder Arden Miller is tied for the league lead in homers with 11 and has 30 runs batted in. No other Bobcat has hit more than five home runs in 2025, but 13 other players have logged at least one home run. While Frostburg State owns the most home runs in the MEC, no other team has hit more home runs than the Mountain Lions in conference play (18). Lewis leads the conference with seven homers in conference play alongside junior infielder Courtney Raines with three and Garvey, junior outfielder Alina Giles and sophomore infielder Kendall Morgan all have two each.
 
PITCHER'S DUEL
Where Frostburg State shines at the plate, Fairmont State shines in the circle. This spring, the Fighting Falcons sport the third-best team ERA (3.36) in the MEC and have recorded 167 punch outs across 258.0 innings. Sophomore pitcher Delaney Haller has a perfect 14-0 record with a 2.20 ERA and has only allowed two earned runs across her last 19.2 innings pitched. Freshman pitcher Caitlin Morey has a 2.23 ERA and heads into the weekend having not allowed a run in her last 8.2 innings. Concord junior pitcher/infielder Madison Hollis has a team-best 5-4 record with a 4.09 ERA and freshman pitcher Mahailey Nicholson falls just outside the top 10 in the conference in strikeouts (51).

The Fighting Falcons enter Sunday's contest on a four-game winning streak with a pair of shutouts. Alongside a strong pitching staff, FSU has six starters hitting over .300 this season led by freshman infielder Alexa Foresha at .392. Foresha has 27 RBI. Emma Paul has a team-best 28 RBI.
