RISING UP THE RANKS
After scoring 39 runs in four games over the weekend and pounding out 49 combined hits in doubleheader sweeps of Wheeling and West Liberty, CU has a team average of .332 for the season which is 22
nd in Division II. Junior catcher
Kaden Swaim paced the offense over the weekend with 10 hits in four games with five going for extra bases. Swaim also drove in 11 RBI for the weekend as he is now tied for the Mountain East Conference lead in RBI with 34. Swaim was named the MEC and NCBWA Regional Player of the Week for his effort. Senior utility
MJ Hunter was 8-for-12 over the weekend as he has seen his season batting average elevate to a high-water mark of .333 (30-for-90) for the year. Junior infielder
Matthew DiSanti continued his steady hitting by going 7-of-12 in four games. Concord's 280 hits for the season are more than 30 ahead of second place in the MEC—Fairmont State at 246.
SHUT 'EM DOWN
In an 8-0 win over West Liberty Sunday, the Mountain Lions recorded their third shutout of the season as freshman pitcher
Broc Taylor tossed five scoreless innings before handing off to junior pitcher
Kerry Collins and freshman pitcher/outfielder
Braylen Baker to pitch a scoreless inning of relief each. CU's third shutout of the season is the most for the Maroon and Gray since they put together four shutouts during the 2017 season. However, Sunday was the first time that a Concord pitcher earned a win in a shutout that wasn't sophomore pitcher
Jake Robinson after he had back-to-back shutout wins over Fairmont State and Salem. Taylor struck out a career-best five over five innings. And not only did Collins play a role in the shutout in game one against the Hilltoppers, the Bluefield, West Virginia native earned his first career save in 2.2 shutout innings in game two as Concord won 11-7.
FINDING A GROOVE

Korbin Bostic and junior catcher
Austin Hear each hit a home run in the contest while DiSanti launched his first career home run, a three-run shot. DiSanti and Hear each had three hits in the contest and accounted for a total of seven RBI. Junior pitcher
Logan Darrow tossed five innings at UVa.-Wise as he only allowed two runs on three hits. The Mountain Lions are coming off tying their season high in hits in game two versus West Liberty (17).
