BACK TO BALL
CU plays its first games since February 23 when it takes the diamond Friday morning. The Mountain Lions scored 12 runs across two games at King last time out, falling in 10 innings in game one, 7-6. In their last three games, Concord has plated 18 runs, also accounting for the six runs scored at Emory & Henry February 22. Senior infielder Courtney Raines has led the offensive charge the last three games with two home runs and six of her nine RBI on the season. Junior infielder Lacie Lewis has four RBI in the last three games, and is second in the Mountain East Conference with 15 RBI. Sophomore infielder Kendall Morgan has hit safely in nine of 11 games this spring, and had a two-hit contest at Emory & Henry.

LET'S RUN
Last season, Concord stole 68 bases in 54 games, but 26 of those steals came from all-region standout Kylee Stacy who graduated after the 2024 season. The Mountain Lions have not had any issues replacing the production of Stacy on the bags as CU has recorded 17 steals through 11 games. Junior catcher/outfielder Morgan Gleason has a team-best five stolen bases while Morgan is adding three steals. Freshman pitcher/outfielder Reghan Hintz, freshman utility Kristy McCord and junior catcher/utility Gianna Sloan-Lebron have two steals each. CU has only been thrown out once attempting to steal this season. And Concord's 17 stolen bases rank third in the MEC behind Fairmont State (21) and Glenville State (19).

NOT FAMILIAR FACES
Four of the six opponents for the Mountain Lions in Florida will be new teams on the schedule. Concord did go 2-0 versus Ashland and Edinboro last year during its spring break trip. CU squeaked out a 6-5 win over Ashland in the first game in Florida in 2024 as it overcame a 5-2 deficit in the sixth. Junior pitcher/infielder Madison Hollis had two RBI in the game while sophomore pitcher Josi Ervin was the winning pitcher as she allowed one run in three innings of relief. Against Edinboro, the Maroon and Gray scored eight runs in their first three at-bats and hung on to win 11-9. Hollis added two more RBI in the contest while Morgan paced the offense by going 3-for-4 with four RBI. Overall, Morgan batted .458 (11-for-24) in Florida last season with eight RBI.

SCOUTING THE FIELD
Sioux Falls enters Friday with a record of 9-7 as it has already played 12 games in Florida. USF has a win over MEC school West Virginia Wesleyan and mutual opponent California (Pa.). Jaeleigh Darnell and Savanna Isaacson have combined for 30 RBI as both are hitting over .400.

Ashland is 7-5, but will play three more games between squaring off with Concord Friday afternoon. AU lost earlier in the week to Sioux Falls, 7-6 but took down Cal U, 10-1. The Eagles have a team ERA of 2.96 with Delaney Lis sporting a 1.62 ERA over 30.1 innings. She is 3-1 in the circle.

Dominican is 2-6 this year. The Chargers' offense has produced nearly seven runs per game. However, Dominican's staff ERA is over six for the season. Emma Kaszovitz is hitting .391 with five RBI. Jalaeya LaPorte and Giovanna Salcido are both hitting .333 and have combined for 17 RBI.

Edinboro is searching for its first win of the season as the Fighting Scots are 0-6. Season stats for Edinboro are incomplete at this time.

Through 14 games, Wayne State is 7-7. Like Concord, the Wildcats get their spring break scheduled started Friday. Emilee Marth has a team-best 11 RBI while hitting .357. Leah Chance is batting .462 with 18 hits already to her name. WSC sports a tidy 2.55 team ERA. Grace Lucka has 28 strikeouts in 18 innings.

Queens College gets its season underway Saturday morning in Florida. As a freshman, Caylea Campbell batted .416 with 17 doubles and 36 RBI. Campbell was also 12-10 in the circle as she racked up 105 strikeouts over 158 innings. The Knights are coming off an 18-27 season.
