CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Concord University men's golf team placed sixth at the Mountain East Conference Spring Invite held at Berry Hills Golf Club Monday and Tuesday.

As a team, the Mountain Lions posted rounds of 331 and 319 for a total of 650 in two trips around the course.

Freshman
Kelly Pimenov II and senior
Indiana Eades were the best individual finishers for CU at the event, tying for 26
th place with a total of 159 (+19).

Pimenov rebounded from an 81 in round one to fire a 78 in round two and tie for CU's best 18-hole total at the tournament. In round one, he scored par on six consecutive holes to begin the front nine. On day two, he sank a pair of birdies on the par-5 ninth and par-4 15
th to cap off his final round.

Eades started off the event strong, making par on seven out of nine holes on the back nine for a 36 that led to a first-round score of 78. In round two, Eades recovered from a 44 on the front nine with another 36 on the back to post an 80 in the final round.

Senior
Peyton Watts finished 39th in the field with 168 strokes (+23) across rounds one and two. After scoring an 85 day one he finished the MEC Spring Invite with a 78, his second-lowest card of the year that included a birdie on the par-4 sixth.

Other scorers in the field for Concord included freshman
Jonah Willson with a two-day total of 169 (+29) and senior
Jacob Chittaphong with a 177 (+37).

The Mountain Lions are back in action April 7 and 8 at Oglebay Resort and Golf Club for the West Liberty Invitational.
