GOING, GOING, GONE
Heading into last weekend's series against nationally-ranked Millersville, Concord only had two home runs as a team in the first 10 games of the season. After going homerless in the first two games of the three-game set, the long ball helped the Mountain Lions win the series over the Marauders as they crushed four home runs in a 12-8 win. Junior catcher Austin Hear became one of four players in the MEC with a multi-home run game this season. Junior catcher Kaden Swaim belted his second home run of the season, and sophomore infielder Nick DiSanti hit his first career home run. CU is now tied for third in MEC in home runs with six.  And Saturday marked the second straight year that Concord has hit at least four home runs in a game after the Maroon and Gray slugged five home runs at UVa.-Wise last season to tie a program record.

BATS AND ARMS
Concord carries some of the best offensive numbers in the MEC into the first weekend of league play. The Mountain Lions are first in the MEC in batting average (.313) after 40 hits across three games versus Millersville. CU's slugging percentage of .428 is fourth in the conference. Individually, junior infielder Matthew DiSanti has batted .400 or better since the third game of the season and his .432 average is fourth in the MEC this season. N. DiSanti is hitting .408 ahead of the weekend, eighth in the MEC. Swaim (eighth/.600) and junior outfielder Korbin Bostic (16th/.528) are both top 20 in the MEC in slugging. Frostburg State has arguably the best pitching staff in the MEC with the top ERA in the league at 3.13. Zach Dodson leads the MEC with a 0.57 ERA and is 3-0 in 15.2 innings on the mound.

MIRROR IMAGE
Concord and Fairmont State are very similar in several facets of the game. FSU is second in the MEC in hitting (.301) this season. The Fighting Falcons have hit two more home runs than CU and only have three more RBI (79-76). The Mountain Lions have a slight edge in slugging (.428-.427). N.DiSanti (20), M. DiSanti (19) and Swaim (17) are all in the top 10 in the MEC in total hits. Fairmont State's Quintin Smith (18), Noah Canterbury (17) and Quintin Reep (16) are all in the top 10 of the MEC in hits. Both teams have an ERA around seven early in the season. Graduate pitcher Zach Powell and sophomore pitcher Jake Robinson are both 2-2 on the mound this season, just one of three sets of teammates in the MEC with two wins. Fairmont State's Tyler Wilkinson is coming off throwing a one-hit shutout of Kentucky Wesleyan last weekend.
