Hanna Selected MEC Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Junior forward Anfernee Hanna of the Concord University men's basketball team has been voted as the Mountain East Conference Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Hanna, a native of Nassau, Bahamas, shares this week's honor with Frostburg State's Trey Simmons.

In Concord's 97-83 win over Frostburg State Wednesday night, Hanna tallied a career-high 25 points—which was also the highest scoring game for any CU player this season. His career night was done thanks in part to a 9-for-14 showing from the field and a 7-of-9 effort from the foul line. He added a pair of assists in the victory to go with 25 points in 26 minutes of action.

Paced by Hanna, the Mountain Lions tied their season high in points, and shot a season-best 54.3 percent from the floor in the win.

Concord is back in action 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Point Park.
