ATHENS, W.Va. – Senior defenders
Erik Lotysz and
Ted Roberts of the Concord University men's soccer team have been tabbed Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization has announced.
Lotysz, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, earns an academic all-district spot after appearing in 17 games this fall with 14 starts at center back for the Mountain Lions. Due to a pair of season-ending injuries for the Mountain Lions along the backline, Lotysz was thrust into the starting lineup on September 24 at Wheeling. He scored goals in two of his first three starts of the year, and finished the year with three goals. The 2025 All-MEC Second Teamer added an assist for a total of seven points. Defensively, Lotysz helped CU to eight shutouts during the season. In the classroom, he holds a perfect 4.0 GPA as a computer science major.
Roberts continues to bring in the postseason honors. Earlier this month, Roberts was named to the All-Mountain East Conference First Team, and was also voted to the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team. The Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines native sports a 3.61 GPA as a health science major. Roberts made an impact on the both sides of the pitch for Concord this fall. He tied for the MEC lead in assists with nine as CU's primary set piece taker while playing all 1,800 minutes throughout 20 games. His nine assists are the fourth most in the history of Mountain Lion men soccer for a single season. Like Lotysz, Roberts played a pivotal role in the eight shutouts Concord recorded in 2025.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District consideration, student-athletes must have played in 90 percent of team games or started in 66 percent of contests. Academically, they must carry a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
Based on Lotysz and Roberts' academic credentials, both advance for consideration for Academic All-American.
