INDIANAPOLIS – The Concord University men's soccer team held its position in the NCAA Division II Super Region Rankings, sitting 12
th, as the rankings were unveiled Wednesday afternoon by the NCAA.
Southern New Hampshire (14-1-2), Bentley (11-1-3), Charleston (14-0-4), Franklin Pierce (10-3-3), Post (8-1-7), Adelphi (9-5-3), Gannon (11-2-4), Wilmington (11-3-4), Millersville (10-3-4), Queens (13-3-), Bloomsburg (9-2-6) and Concord (12-3-3) were the teams 1-12 in this week's rankings.
Five conference champions, the tournament winners of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, East Coast Conference, Mountain East Conference, Northeast-10 and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, receive automatic bids to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The best five at-large teams also make the 10-team field from Super Region One into the national postseason.
The Mountain Lions received a bye into the semifinal round of the MEC Tournament where they will play West Liberty 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Callaghan Stadium.
CU is seeking its second straight berth to the MEC Championship Game.
