ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University Athletic Department is proud to announce the September Athletes of the Month presented by Chick-Fil-A of Princeton.

Ted Roberts of the Concord University men's soccer team have been selected as the Concord September Athletes of the Month as voted on by athletic department personnel.
Davis, a native of Jonesborough, Tennessee, is the Concord Female Athlete of the Month for helping guide the Mountain Lions to a record of 12-1 during the season's first month. CU is currently 13-2 on the season. Over 43 sets played in September, Davis averaged 4.85 digs per set. She currently ranks second in the Mountain East Conference with 4.71 digs per set. The 13-2 mark is the best record in program history through 15 matches, eclipsing the previous record set by the 2001 team at 10-5. Additionally, Davis was named to the Cavalier Classic All-Tournament Team as she helped Concord go 3-0 in matches against King, UVa.-Wise and Barton September 12-13.
Roberts is the Concord Male Athlete of the Month for his work in getting the Mountain Lions nationally ranked twice during the month of September. Roberts has tallied six assists for the season, all in September, as he leads the MEC in assists as a defender. The Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines native also ranks in a tie for third in Division II in assists. The Mountain Lions made their first appearance in the national poll at number 10 for the week of September 16 before making a second appearance at number 18 for the week of September 30. In addition to his offensive prowess, Roberts has helped CU to three shutouts.
Both Davis and Roberts will soon be provided a free lunch at Chick-Fil-A of Princeton, and will have their photos taken with the famous Chick-Fil-A Cow.
