How did you land at Concord?
Coach May recruited me when I was in high school, so when I was looking for a new place to call home and Coach May reached out about the opening on his staff, I was extremely excited about the opportunity. I truly believe the Lord was leading my wife and I to Concord to develop deep relationships using the game of basketball.

Tell us a little bit about where you're from?
I am originally from High Point, North Carolina. I then went on to play basketball for my undergraduate years at UVa.-Wise, after graduating early I transferred to Bethel University in Indiana as a graduate student. While at Bethel I met my now wife Isabelle who was a stud volleyball player. After my time at Bethel I transferred again as a graduate student to Milligan University in Tennessee. Once done playing, I began my coaching career back in Indiana at IU-Indianapolis formally IUPUI before landing at Concord.

What's been your most rewarding experience as an athlete or coach?
One of the most rewarding experiences as a coach is helping young men achieve goals that they dreamed of their entire life. In the past 12 months I have had the pleasure of helping Kollin Tolbert achieve Player of the Year in the MEC, First Team All-MEC, First Team All-Region, NABC All American and become a Division 1 basketball player. I have also had the pleasure of helping Corey Boston achieve Second Team All-MEC and become a Division 1 basketball player.

Outside of family, who's had the biggest positive influence on your life?
Coach Mike Lightfoot has had a tremendous impact on my life, not only has he mentored me when it comes to college basketball coaching but he has also poured into my personal life when it comes to my marriage.

What makes Concord such a special place?
Concord is a very special place because of the local community, the on-campus community, and a great family atmosphere!

Favorite vacation spot?
One of my favorite places to visit is Smith Mountain Lake with family and friends.

Go-to junk food?
I love Starburst Jellybeans.

What advice would you give today's college student that you found the most valuable?
The best memories that you will have are from the people you are with, so pour into others even those who you have nothing in common with because you can build a bond that can last a lifetime.

What's one bucket list item that you have crossed off and are most proud of?
I am extremely proud of myself for becoming a college basketball coach and it is just getting started.
