BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Concord University women's cross country team finished sixth at the Virginia Tech Invite Friday night at the Buford Meredith Cross Country Course.
CU scored 148 points.
Junior
Katy Walkup led the way for the Mountain Lions as she placed 27
th in a time of 15:34.5 for the 4,000-meter course. Senior
Madison Cornett was five spots behind as she crossed in 15:59.5.
Freshman
Kate Kelly finished in 16:40.0 while sophomore Sarah Turner crossed in 16:46.4, good enough for 44
th. Junior
Emma Jenkins rounded out the top five for Concord with a showing of 17:21.9, placing 49
th. Sophomore
Charlotte McGinnis secured a spot in the top 50 with the exact same time as Jenkins.

Emma Londeree (17:27.7) and freshman
Larah Blevins (17:32.0) were 52
nd and 53
rd. Sophomore
Abbey Londeree ran 17:44.9 while sophomore
Piper Doughton clocked 18:27.4.
Seniors
Kaylee Dixon (19:13.7) and
Baylee Bentley (19:52.9) rounded out the CU field.
Virginia Tech had a perfect score of 15 to win the meet as a team.
