ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University head men's soccer coach Alex Smith has named his coaching staff for the 2024 season.
The second-year head coach recently announced the hiring of Cheslon-Lee Carollisen and Demoy Daye.
A native of Cape Town, South Africa, Carolissen wrapped up his playing career at Oklahoma Panhandle State in 2021. During his senior season, he helped the Aggies to a 10-win season. He has previous coaching experience at the youth level coaching within the Challenger Sports Company.
Daye is from Smith's native Jamaica. Daye graduated from the University of West Indies in Jamaica before going on to serve as the head soccer coach at The Moneague College in St. Ann, Jamaica—equivalent to a high school in the U.S.
Mats Roorda will be splitting time between the men's and women's soccer teams as the goalkeeping coach. Roorda played at both Binghamton and Seton Hall in college.
Coming off an 8-5-7 record last year, CU opens the 2024 season September 8 at Point Park.
