LEE LAST CHANCE ENTRIES
The Mountain Lions have athletes entered in this weekend's competition. Graduate student Gerard Hearst and freshman Bradley Harris are scheduled to get in the blocks in the 100-meter dash. Hearst currently leads the Mountain East Conference in the 100-meters (10.61 seconds), and was the conference champion in the event (10.63 seconds) last week. Junior Ian Gardner and freshman Jaidyn Foddrell are entered in the 400-meter dash. Gardner is in pursuit of the 400-meter school record that was set at 47.78 seconds by DeWayne Smith in 2004. Gardner has run 48.22 seconds at the MEC Championships at the end of April. Junior Ethan Board rounds out the individual entries in the 800-meter run. He is fresh off his career-best showing of 1:53.68 at the MEC Championships.

Speaking of records, the 4x400-meter relay team of Board, Foddrell, Gardner and Harris have set the program record in the event twice this spring, including at Lee at the beginning of April. Most recently, the quartet ran 3:15.48 at the MEC Championships. The NCAA Division II qualifying standard is 3:13.85. And in the 4x100-meter relay of Foddrell, Gardner, Harris and Hearst seek to eclipse the program record of 41.99 seconds. The group has clocked 42.16 seconds this season, also run at Lee.
